SUNDAY, MARCH 28
Race 1
STARBOARD SIDE ran a nice third against similar last time out in his first start over the track. He figures to improve on the move back around two turns and is the choice to pick up the maiden win here. LAZER VISION was fourth at odds-on last time out in his first start back since September. He should move forward off that one and looks capable of winning here. FIRE AT WILL has been third in three of his last four and is a threat.
Race 2
CAT MAGIC drops in class after an even effort here at Turfway last time out. She has the tactical speed to be well placed throughout and looks best against a weak field. ON THE BEAT takes a big drop in class after a few dull efforts at Aqueduct. She's never been over the Polytrack but looks like a contender here. IDE RATHER BE WILD has been in the money in each of her last three starts. She figures to be on the lead again today and is a threat.
Race 3
BETWEEN US drops in class in her first start since January, when she beat tougher here at Turfway. She should be in a good spot on or near the lead today; give her the edge here. FLEET FRANCIS has looked sharp winning each of her last two starts over the track. She figures to be running at the end in a race that should have a solid pace and could be dangerous here. VICK'S VIOLET comes in off a nice win and is a threat.
Race 4
SULTRY WHISPER has the speed to be on or near the lead throughout and looks like a winner with Lopez picking up the mount for Jeff Thornbury. OH MY DI comes off a sharp win last Sunday and a repeat of that one makes her dangerous. LIL BRIT also comes off a nice maiden win and is a contender.
Race 5
HAWAIIAN SKY runs out of her conditions here but drops in class after two decent efforts against much tougher. She picks up Lopez today and is the choice for the win. COMMADORE KATE moves back in for a tag after two decent efforts and looks like the one to beat. HILLY M has been off since September, when she shows being claimed from Hays and Woodard although she is still in that barn. She has no published works but loves this track and is a definite threat.
Race 6
VICTORIA'S JOURNEY rates a slight edge in a weak maiden test. NEWFOUND STAR had no excuse when beaten as the odds-on favorite last out but figures to be the one to beat. BE BACK DUST shows two solid races and gets blinkers this afternoon.
Race 7
TSUNAMI BERTIE comes in off three nice races against some tough company at Fair Grounds. She has the tactical speed to be well placed throughout and ran well in her only start over the track. Give her the edge here. SMART TRADE posted two bullet works since her last race and is definitely the one to beat. PISH POSH has been idle since December and probably wants to go longer but loves the track here at Turfway and has the ability to run well here.
Race 8
FOUR WEALTH has shown tremendous improvement in his last two races and rates a slight edge in a very well matched race. GENESIS ONE was second best against similar last time out and shouldn't mind the move back to sprinting. MOON NISTLE takes a big drop in class after a dull effort last time out in his first start since November and is a contender.
Race 9
STORM TURTLE was second best at this level last time out in his first start back since October. He should move forward off that one and is the choice to pick up the maiden win here. GOOGLEZ DE CERVEZA ran an even race last time out and looks like the one to beat on the drop in class. BELL BUCKLE has a chance.
